The Bible (an old poem I wrote a while ago)

The Bible

I love to read it just because, it fills my heart and mind

With all the wondrous stories, God left for us to find.

Moses led the Israelites, into the Wilderness,

Abraham and Sarah, with Isaac were they blessed. 

David brought his kingdom, to the highest it could be, 

Solomon built the Temple to worship the Almighty

In Zion did Nehemiah, rebuild the city wall, 

And Esther saved her people, from destruction to them all

There are so many stories, I can't name every one,

But the best one of them all, is when God sent His Son. 

Jesus came and died, to save us from our sins,

Now we can live forever, with our Holy King.
